Traditional Troop Camping
Traditional Troop Camping is an experience planned and carried out by a group of girls and their camp-trained volunteers/leaders. Girls take part in the program and meal planning, learn outdoor skills and work as a team to enjoy a wonderful outdoor experience. Registration is ongoi
Outdoor Training for Adults: Girl Scouts of Nassau County provides Outdoor Training courses to help Girl Scout volunteers prepare themselves and the girls they work with to enjoy outdoor experiences together. Training will introduce progression in the out-of-doors, review camp facilities and provide basic skills for outdoor program. Under the guidance of trained and enthusiastic adults, girls may take their first hike, build their first campfire and sleep under the stars for the first time. This training is required for a Troop to participate in Traditional Troop Camping.
Summer Adventures Troop Camping
Summer Adventures Troop Camping provides an opportunity for Troops to camp during the summer months and take advantage of the activities offered during summer camp; including swimming, boating, nature, arts & crafts, campfires and more. Troops need to have one adult per 8 girls to attend; no training required; all meals will be served in the Dining Hall. Troops are responsible for their own transportation.
* A $50.00 non-refundable, non-transferable fee MUST accompany the application signed by an Association Camping Consultant. No applications will be accepted for processing without the proper fee and signatures.
