Ceremonial Unit

Ceremonial UnitThe image of the American flag flying overhead at a Girl Scout ceremony is very moving and is the perfect way to honor the Girl Scout Promise “to serve God and my Country.”

During the year, Members of the Ceremonial Unit participate in flag ceremonies and act as honor guards at Girl Scout events including the Gold Award Ceremony, Annual Luncheon and GSNC Annual Meeting; other opportunities include sporting venues (NY Mets) and a variety of functions for community organizations.

What are the requirements to be a member of the Ceremonial Unit?

Girl Scouts must be in grades 3-12
Girls must wear a full Girl Scout uniform to all ceremonies
Girls must attend required trainings
