Nominating Committee Referrals

Girl Scouts from Nassau County Participate in Governance

The Council Nominating Committee is accepting referrals for 2015 for the following positions:

Interested?

If you are interested in any of the positions please follow these instructions:

Generally Referral forms must be received in the Girl Scout Service Center on paper or electronically no later than the close of business on the second Friday of January for open positions for that year. For exact deadlines please contact Lori DiMaggio (info below). Individuals may refer themselves or others that they believe to be qualified and willing to have their name presented for nomination...

Once referral forms are received at Council the person referred and the person that referred them will be notified that the referral was received.

The Council Nominating Committee then reviews all Referrals received. The Nominating Committee reserves the right to contact and then interview only those Referrals whom they decide are the best fit for the various positions available. Not all individual who are referred will be interviewed, and interviews do not always result in being selected for the slate.

Terms, for those chosen for the slate, will begin at the Council’s Annual Meeting in May of 2014.

For more information please contact the Nominating Committee, in care of Lori DiMaggio at dimaggio@gsnc.org, 516-741-2550, ext. 204
