New Hyde Park Resident elected to Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board
Garden City, NY (June 12, 2014) – The Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) has announced that during the recent 49th Annual Meeting, Kelly Ann Poole Reed has been elected to serve her first term as Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. She joins a panel of 29 board members in their mission to provide leadership, innovation and support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.
“We are beyond excited to have Kelly serve on the Board of Directors for her first term”, said Wanda Jackson, President of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors. “With Kelly’s extensive resume and eagerness to join the Board, we know she will provide us with leadership and the right skills to become a valuable contributor as well as someone who can continue to help shape girls into Girl Scouts We value and appreciate Kelly's ongoing contributions to Girl Scouts as a fundraiser for the past few years, and she is a Girl Scout Leader for her own daughter!"
Reed serves as the directing partner of foreclosure operations firm-wide with Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates, P.C. and has been with the firm since 1996. Reed is very active in the legal community and she is able to practice law in New York, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia. Reed is also a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations Real Property Committees, an invited member of the New York City Foreclosure Task Force, a Board Member of the USFN, the MBA Commercial and Mortgage Servicing Planning Committees and a member of the Loan Administration Committee. Reed also served as a member of a U.S. Treasury Department Task Force.
Reed received her undergraduate degree from St. John’s University and her graduate degree from Touro Law School. She has been practicing law since 1992. Reed is a mentor in the student-alumni mentor program at Touro Law School and she is a member of the Touro Dean’s Alumni Advisory Council. Reed has spent the last few years as an active committee member for multiple GSNC fundraisers.
