2015 Cookie Celebration

Girl Scouts of Nassau County's (GSNC) Cookie CelebrationGirl Scouts of Nassau County's (GSNC) Cookie Celebration2015 is the 40th birthday of the Samoa cookie, so naturally we’re planning a Cookie Celebration – Happy 40th Birthday Samoa! When you register for the big birthday bash you'll taste the brand new Rah-Rah Raisins and gluten-free cookie. There will be fun new crafts, a dance party, SWAPS, a great new Little Brownie Bakers video, a fashion show and an interactive Booth Sale skit. So come join us for an afternoon of fun, friends, and cookies!

Mommy and Me Winter Series at Camp Blue Bay

Each month, November – March we will be offering a Mommy and Me Weekend for either Daisy, Brownie or Junior level at Camp Blue Bay. Designed for you to spend quality time with your daughter, scheduled activities as well as some free time will be planned throughout the weekend. Limited to 60 per event, participants will stay in one of the two Troop Houses and all meals will be served at the Activity Building.

TIME: Check in Friday, 6pm or Saturday, 8am Check out Sunday, 11am

WHERE: Camp Blue Bay, East Hampton

COST: $45.00 per person, includes accommodations, meals and program materials

Night Owl Badge Weekend for Cadettes

Calling all Cadettes! Are you ready to uncover the mysteries of the world after dark? Earn the Night Owl badge while spending the weekend at Camp Blue Bay in the Port Troop House. Turn out the lights, tune in your senses, and step out into the night while meeting new friends who are night owls just like you!

Pack a brown bag dinner for Friday night and board the bus to camp from the Girl Scout Service Center.

WHO: Individual Cadette Girl Scouts (6th, 7th or 8th grade)

WHEN: Friday, February 27, 2015, 5PM to Sunday, March 1, 2015, 2PM

GAALS: Girl Athletics And Life Skills

Looking for a way to earn badges and have fun too. GAALS: aims to empower girls through physical activity while building self-esteem. GAALS teaches girls the fundamental physical skills used in a variety of sports and the life skills used every day through fun, interactive classes designed and taught by coaches specializing in Psychology,
Exercise Science & Athletic Counseling.

Edible House Construction Classes

Looking for something new to do with your troop? How about learning how to construct an edible house? Riesterer's Bakery located at (210 Bedell Terrace, West Hempstead, New York 11552) offers
classes in edible house construction and while many of the holidays are over you can still learn how to do something great for an upcoming summer holiday!.

IMPORTANT: Minimum 10 children and Maximum of 20 children. A workshop engineer oversees the class and refreshment and cookies are served. $100 deposit is required at the time of the reservation.

The Healthy Living Initiatives brings a unique perspective to keeping girls healthy. Girls define health in their own terms, placing as much emphasis on emotional and social well-being as physical health, nutrition and physical fitness. In addition to healthy eating and physical fitness, the Healthy Living Initiative focuses on increasing girls’ self-esteem, media image awareness and how to develop healthy relationships.
