Girls Go the Distance
Walkathon and Activity Fair
Girls Go the Distance is a fun and interactive two-mile walk and activity fair, with this year’s special scavenger hunt & hike, centered on the theme of Healthy Living. Registered Girl Scout Troops will have the opportunity to earn a “give back” monetary rebate for their own Healthy Living projects.
Join the walk, participate in the scavenger hunt & hike, and enjoy entertainment, activities, and education - all centered on the theme of Healthy Living!
DATE: Sunday, April 17, 2016
PLACE: Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Old Bethpage, NY
How will funds be used?
All funds generated from Girls Go the Distance will benefit the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Healthy Living Initiatives program, which offers a unique perspective to keeping girls healthy. In order for girls to live healthy, they first have to learn how, and have fun doing it! Funding is needed to help GSNC develop and provide engaging activities that inspire girls to learn how to integrate all aspects of healthy living into their daily lives.
